- ➤ Jonisa Cook lost her son Joshua last November when he drowned in a pond behind her home—she is now launching the Joshua Al-Lateef Jr. Foundation to help families of children with autism by funding swim lessons and connecting them with local resources. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ohio Gov. DeWine and the Ohio Department of Public Safety launched RoadReady Ohio, an app that uses telematics to give real-time feedback & help learners log the 50 hours of supervised driving needed before taking their test. The new law also takes effect today, requiring anyone under 21 to complete a driver training course with 24 hours of classroom lessons and 8 hours of instructor training before they can get a license. - ➤ Nearly a year after moving into a $32 million building, Hamilton PD gave about 200 members a behind-the-scenes look at its new Hamilton Justice Center—a modern facility built with advanced technology and designed to attract new recruits; the center is located across Hanover Street from Butler County Jail.
