- ➤ Emily Mullen, owner of Mullen Dairy and Creamery in Okeana, noticed three years ago that few dairy cows were featured at the Butler County Fair and set up a rent-a-calf program so kids could care for the animals. - ➤ At 1:30 a.m. Tuesday morning on the 2100 block of Ross Hanover Road in Hanover Township, 17-year-old Lakota West senior Alexa Miller from Liberty Township lost control of her 2014 Acura and struck a tree—she was pronounced dead at 4:48 a.m.—while another 17-year-old passenger was airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital with serious injuries.
