About this event

What happens when three amateur actors and professional alcoholics in recovery decide to put on a show?
Gindependence Day is a darkly comedic new musical revue exploring America’s long and complicated relationship with alcohol through humor, music, and the perspective of people in recovery.
This developmental staged reading offers audiences an early look at the work while it’s still taking shape. Experience approximately 30 minutes of the show, followed by a talkback with ALT's Playwright in Residence Terry Tocantins and the artists. Audience reactions and feedback will help inform the show’s continued development.
Gindependence Day is recommended for teens and adults.
