COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Vic and Laura Troha are using royalties from their two children's books to buy gifts for local foster kids through Hamilton County Job and Family Services (the gifts will be available at the Toy Shop). They plan to deliver the gifts on Dec. 15 and Dec. 22. Local 12 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Ross Local teachers' union reached a tentative contract agreement with the Board after 10 months of negotiations. The union will vote to ratify the deal next week (details of the agreement have not yet been released). WVXU
- ➤ Local high school counselors from Middletown, Edgewood and Summit visited Monroe’s UGN facility on Wednesday to learn the skills local employers need. They hope to help students prepare to start working on June 1 after graduation. Journal-News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Ohio residents will receive their January SNAP benefits between Jan. 2 and Jan. 20 based on the last digit of their case number. Check your case number to know exactly which day your payment arrives. Local 12 News
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins will miss Sunday's game against the Ravens after concussion symptoms returned on Monday. Higgins, who had 46 catches for 667 yards (nine touchdowns) this season, will be replaced by other players in the lineup. WLWT
