  • The Holiday Ho Ho Party brings the community together to benefit Meals on Wheels with music, dancing, and food, and it will be held this Saturday at the Fueled Collective in Rookwood.  WLWT
  • Local organizers are preparing the 13th annual Halle-Bration Holiday Marketplace for Hamilton residents with festive vendors and holiday treats. The event will be held soon (location details pending) to offer a new chance for the community to shop and celebrate the season.  FOX 19 Now

  • Animal Friends Humane Society is caring for seized livestock after the owner faces 15 cruelty charges and will keep the animals safe until authorities decide on next steps.  FOX 19 Now

CULTURE NEWS

  • Graphic artist Carol Tyler is hosting an art workshop (at Design Collective, 4150 Hamilton Ave) on Saturday, Dec. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. to help people process grief through creative activities based on her book; a $20 donation is suggested, but no one will be turned away.  WVXU

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Butler County is considering a data center on wooded city-owned land at 1380 University Blvd, sparking concerns about rising utility bills among local residents. The proposal is part of a data center boom in Central Ohio driven by tax incentives & available land.  WVXU

EDUCATION NEWS

  • A $15 million aviation center in Butler County will open its new building in January to expand Butler Tech’s aviation program from 80 to 150 students. The facility will include six classrooms, a multipurpose space, and an outdoor hangar + lab space to meet local industry demand.  WCPO

HEALTH NEWS

  • Hudson River Foods Corp. recalled its Doughy brand chocolate-chip cookie dough because the FDA designated it a Class I safety risk due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall affects 113 tubs with best-by dates of July 4 (no illnesses have been reported) and includes products sold in Ohio.  Local 12 News
  • Health policy analysts say about 600,000 Ohio residents using the Affordable Care Act may face steep premium increases in 2026 when government subsidies end. Open enrollment ends Jan. 15, with Dec. 15 as the final day for coverage to begin on Jan. 1.  WVXU
