- ➤ Cincinnati Animal CARE will hold its annual Black Friday event to find homes for 190 animals, including 125 dogs and 65 cats, at the Colerain Avenue + Dane Avenue shelters. The event will feature live music, a coffee truck, and merchandise while each adoption covers all vaccinations, microchipping, and spaying/neutering for animals six months or older. Local 12 News

- ➤ Sisters Krista Hepp, Michelle Juergens, and Dayna Sager opened Everything But the Bottle in the Bridgewater Falls shopping complex in Fairfield Twp nearly three years after the idea began at Thanksgiving dinner— the 2,300-square-foot store offers over 20 bitters, 57 syrups, beverage kits, stemware and other drink accessories without selling alcohol bottles and plans to start beverage classes early next year. The shop is open weekdays from noon to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Journal-News

- ➤ Parents in Ross Local School District are urging the board to raise teacher salaries to keep quality educators from leaving—union representatives say that 150 teachers are at risk as the proposed contract starts high but then drops soon. The union has filed an unfair labor complaint and district officials say they will continue talks while managing local tax and state funding constraints. Journal-News
- ➤ Hamilton schools, serving 8,200 students on a $124.65 million budget, face steep state and federal cuts that could leave the district with a $14.1 million deficit by fiscal year 2028 if funding trends continue.
