  • On Veterans Day, former Coast Guard veteran Matthew Jones received a free roof through a partnership with Purple Heart Homes and the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project to protect his family from a $25,000 repair cost. He and his wife brought coffee and donuts for the roofers who finished the work in one day — a gift from a nationwide effort that has helped more than 750 veteran families.  Journal-News
  • Good Plates Eatery in Clifton Heights will hold its sixth free Thanksgiving meal and coat drive on November 27 at 11 a.m. at 235 W. McMillan St.—the restaurant has partnered with Cincinnati Animal CARE on a 'Feast For Every Friend' initiative to raise $5,000 for dog-friendly meals and help over 300 shelter dogs and community families.  WLWT
  • Hope’s Closet in West Chester is running low on free clothing for foster families as demand increases this season—hundreds of families have shopped there and it has served over 400 children since September. The organization is now seeking donations such as socks, baby gear, and winter coats to meet growing needs.  Journal-News

  • Sinclair said it bought 8.2% of Scripps stock and began discussions for a merger that may lead to a single newsroom in Cincinnati—if the deal is finalized in nine to 12 months, duplicate teams could be cut. Scripps said its board will review any proposal to protect its employees and shareholders.  WVXU
  • British Airways will add a sixth weekly nonstop flight from CVG to London Heathrow starting March 29, 2026—and it will replace its current Boeing 787 800 with a larger Boeing 777—200 that boosts seating and cargo capacity by 55 to 60 percent through October 2026.  Local 12 News

  • Today, Cincinnati leaders and Hamilton County Commissioners will review a new plan for The Banks multi-use district—presented at 10 a.m. during the Hamilton County meeting and again at 1 p.m. at the City Council review—developed by Perkins&Will and MKSK to redevelop five vacant parcels near Paycor Stadium.  FOX 19 Now

  • The Hamilton SAY Soccer team won a state championship on Sunday after a thrilling shootout win following overtime — the undefeated 7- and 8-year-olds finished a perfect season under coach Ken Hurley. The win was especially meaningful after the sudden loss of an assistant coach earlier this season.  Journal-News
