- ➤ Duke Energy will build the Woodsdale Solar Center on 260 acres in Trenton—this 125,000-panel solar farm is scheduled to start construction in early 2028 and will supply power to Kentucky customers but will not serve the planned data center. Journal-News
- ➤ Carmagnola Trattoria opened on Nov. 3 in downtown Hamilton as part of a $4M mixed-use project that transformed a 170-year-old building owned by Jackelope Spirits. The Italian restaurant serves farm-to-fork seasonal cuisine and now shares the space with The Grey coffee shop, cocktail bar, and eight renovated apartments (the final phase of the redevelopment). - ➤ Barnes & Noble will open its new 16,000-square-foot store at 3339 Princeton Road in Hamilton on Wednesday, Nov. 12—its third location in Greater Cincinnati since 2022—to offer books, magazines, toys, games, gift items and a B&N Cafe. Local 12 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hamilton County’s 513 Relief Bus is partnering with Freestore Foodbank, Hamilton County Job and Family Services, Talbert House and local pantries to run a mobile food pantry that offers on-site medical and behavioral health services and help with benefit enrollment as SNAP benefits remain uncertain. The bus will visit locations including Lincoln Heights (Nov. 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.) and Cleves (Nov. 12, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.), with additional stops coming soon until full benefits are restored. WVXU
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Seton High School won its second straight volleyball state title by sweeping Mentor on Saturday and finished a perfect 28-0 season while dropping only one set in the tournament. Nattile Slusher led the team with 16 kills—helping the Saints post a 54-2 record over the last two seasons. WLWT
- ➤ Cincinnati will host the 2026 USA Fencing North American Cup at the renovated Cincinnati Convention Center from Feb. 12—15. More than 5,000 athletes, coaches, referees and fans are expected to attend—filling about 2,000 hotel rooms and generating over $2 million in local economic impact. Local 12 News
