  • Smith, who battled breast cancer and died in 2020, loved Christmas and is honored by her family who will host the sixth annual Season of Giving Toy Drive on November 9 at Star City Brewing Co. in Miamisburg—donated toys will be given to Pink Ribbon Good to help children affected by cancer.  Journal-News
  • Great Parks will spend $1.25M on renovations at Glenwood Gardens—upgrading features like Woodland Walk, Cotswold Overlook and the park’s signature gatehouse—and improve accessibility with funding from the Robert R. & Cooper L. Burchenal Foundation and Great Parks capital funds.  Local 12 News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Ohio has approved 12 projects that will create over 1,100 new jobs and keep nearly 2,700 jobs, according to Gov. DeWine, Lt. Gov. Husted and Development Director Mihalik. Three projects in southwest Ohio are led by companies in Wilmington, Deerfield Township and Sharonville, which plan to add 48, 29 and 44 full-time workers for new operations — boosting the state’s economy.  Local 12 News
