- ➤ Rivertown IGA, a family-owned grocery on State Route 52 in New Richmond, said it will add funds to loyalty cards to help SNAP customers if the shutdown continues. Nearly 100,000 Hamilton County residents are at risk of losing benefits and the program may cost up to $7,000 per week—more if it is expanded. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ Churches in Greater Cincinnati are boosting security by using cameras and uniformed officers as violence rises nationwide. A local safety academy will start Nov 11 to train church teams for $200—aiming to protect worshippers during services. WLWT

- ➤ Dunkin’ will open its first location in Trenton at 703 W. State St. on a 2,125-square-foot building with a drive-thru and 15 parking spaces—this site is across from Domino’s Pizza, near the MidPointe Library, and close to a new city building, police station and YMCA that will break ground on Nov. 6. - ➤ Hamilton County commissioners reclassified $222,954.66 in underused federal relief funds to support the Freestore Foodbank amid the government shutdown that threatened SNAP benefits for more than 97,000 residents — a move that came after a Cincinnati council resolution urged use of Ohio’s rainy day fund to help bridge a $19 million food assistance gap. - ➤ Meals on Wheels of Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky broke ground on a new headquarters in Columbia Twp. that will expand the number of seniors served from 10,000 to 30,000 annually. The $30 million project will merge two facilities to improve home-delivered meals, transportation and health programs and is set to be finished in late 2026. Journal-News
