- ➤ On October 29th, Ohio hunters such as Don Boling teamed with Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry to donate deer harvests to local food pantries as food insecurity rose; the program provided more than 80,000 pounds of venison last season—helping supply nearly 300,000 meals. WVXU
- ➤ Last Mile Food Rescue is helping to move food to families in need as SNAP benefits stop on November 1 due to a government shutdown. The nonprofit uses an app plus volunteers and staff in Hamilton to rescue food from stores and caterers so it does not go to waste. WCPO
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Early Wednesday — police reported — that the 600 block of East Foster-Mainville Road in Hamilton Township is limited to one lane after a crash with no injuries reported, and crews are working to clear the scene while advising alternate routes. WLWT
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The Food and Drug Administration recalled 474 cases of Italian parsley on Tuesday after a sample tested positive for salmonella in Ohio and other states—no illnesses were reported and customers are advised to discard or return the affected product for a full refund. Local 12 News
- ➤ Local woman Leah Holland credits early detection and her family history with saving her life after a stage 1 breast cancer diagnosis and mastectomy at Christ Hospital—her experience shows the importance of early testing.
