On October 29th, Ohio hunters such as Don Boling teamed with Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry to donate deer harvests to local food pantries as food insecurity rose; the program provided more than 80,000 pounds of venison last season—helping supply nearly 300,000 meals.

Last Mile Food Rescue is helping to move food to families in need as SNAP benefits stop on November 1 due to a government shutdown.

The nonprofit uses an app plus volunteers and staff in Hamilton to rescue food from stores and caterers so it does not go to waste.

Early Wednesday — police reported — that the 600 block of East Foster-Mainville Road in Hamilton Township is limited to one lane after a crash with no injuries reported, and crews are working to clear the scene while advising alternate routes.

The Food and Drug Administration recalled 474 cases of Italian parsley on Tuesday after a sample tested positive for salmonella in Ohio and other states—no illnesses were reported and customers are advised to discard or return the affected product for a full refund.
