- ➤ Air traffic controllers and TSA officers are still working without pay due to the shutdown, highlighting a nationwide shortage in the aviation workforce. Butler Tech is expanding its aviation program at the Middletown Airport with a new center — funded with $15 million — that will train 150 high school students with hands-on experience by early next year.
