- ➤ A Beatles autobiography was returned to Avondale Branch Library 50 years late after being found in a box of old college memorabilia—an action that reminds everyone it is never too late to return a book. The branch is undergoing a $7.5 million upgrade to improve safety and add new meeting and program spaces. WLWT
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Fire crews from Madison Twp responded at 11 a.m. today when a resident reported her blind horse had wandered into a neighbor’s half-filled inground pool on Michael Road. The large animal rescue team safely removed the horse by 1 p.m. and it appeared unharmed. Journal-News

- ➤ Emma Ramminger, a third grade teacher at St. Peter in Chains, was honored as Educator of Excellence at the Harry T. Wilks Hamilton Celebrates Education Event yesterday night—she has taught at the school for 11 years and is a favorite among her students. WLWT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The 12th Street Bridge reopened ahead of schedule today (after major repairs). City officials said the early reopening will ease traffic in the area. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ Local service providers worry that pending HUD rule changes may cap spending on permanent housing programs and reduce rent subsidies for about 2,900 people in Hamilton County. The changes may take effect in July—leaving agencies little time to adjust. WVXU
