- ➤ Rob Huffman of the Presbyterian Church of Hamilton put up a three-sided sign on Front Street on Monday that asked for help for the Cincinnati Bengals while drivers on High Street honked in support. The sign went viral online—gathering thousands of likes—and was removed Thursday morning after the Reds lost Wednesday night, with Huffman saying he hopes the Bengals will improve for the rest of the season. - ➤ Barnes & Noble will open a new store in Bridgewater Falls in Fairfield Twp on Nov. 12 at 3339 Princeton Road, where the former Staples was located + the company continues its growth with more retail options for local readers. - ➤ Local and state lawmakers are working to keep property taxes low in growing neighborhoods by reviewing proposals that may save residents money—officials said they will finalize plans soon. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ On Wednesday, Hamilton city manager Bucheit announced a bold plan to build 100 new affordable homes by 2030 through the Build Back the Block program, with many reserved for buyers earning 80% or less of the area's median income and seven constructed by Habitat for Humanity—initially funded by federal grants and local partners. He also highlighted a new Advanced Manufacturing and Workforce Hub that will open early 2026 to join Butler Tech, Miami University and local businesses for better education and job opportunities.
