EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ross Local School District closed Ross Intermediate School after a Sept. 18 meeting due to declining enrollment and unpredictable funding conditions, transferring about 340 students to other schools with changes taking effect next school year. Fourth graders will go to Morgan or Elda Elementary and fifth graders to Ross Middle School—detailed plans for the closed facility will be shared by early 2026. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ Xavier University unveiled a $500M campaign titled "For One, For All, Forever"—with funds planned for capital investments, its endowment, financial aid, and athletics—while also launching an automatic admissions policy that guarantees admission and a $30,000 scholarship to high school graduates in the region with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
