- ➤ Rumpke Waste & Recycling's landfill fire in Colerain Township started Sunday around 6:30 p.m. and was under control by 8:09 p.m.—officials said no one was hurt and advised nearby residents to close windows as they continue investigating the cause. WVXU
- ➤ Firefighters are battling a large fire at the Rumpke landfill in Colerain Township — the blaze started at an unknown time and all employees have been accounted for. WLWT

- ➤ Approximately 640 GE Aerospace workers in Erlanger and Evendale have been on strike since late August for better job security, more time off and lower health care costs—GE reached a tentative agreement on Sept. 12 that offers a $3,500 cash payment and other benefits, with union members set to vote on the five-year contract this week.
