ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Early Friday, the Hamilton County Coroner identified Jonathan Bailey Geers, 28, who died in a car fire along Wooster Pike in Columbia Township that shut down U.S. 50 near Wooster Lane from about 2:40 a.m. until around 6 a.m.+ investigators have not determined what caused the fire. WLWT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is searching for Brian Hatfield for his role in the fatal shooting of Joseph Gladwell in Miami Township on Sept. 15—Hatfield is considered armed and dangerous and was last seen in Fairfield. WLWT
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Religious leaders and immigrant groups asked Gov. DeWine to step in regarding the detention and possible deportation of local imam Ayman Soliman—he is held at Butler County Jail after his asylum was revoked in early July. A signed letter from over 1,000 supporters will be delivered ahead of his immigration hearing today at Cleveland Immigration Court. FOX 19 Now

- ➤ Senior running back Lance Cantrell rushed for 423 yards and scored five touchdowns in Talawanda High School’s season-opening game against Taylor High School last Friday—breaking his school record and moving to 23rd on Ohio’s all-time list.
