- ➤ One person died in a crash on Wooster Pike and Wooster Lane on Friday at 3:30 a.m.—the victim was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center where they were pronounced dead and the road was closed for over two hours as sheriff’s officials investigated. FOX 19 Now

- ➤ Butler County Sheriff said on Aug. 16 that a Fairfield raid at Sabor Peruano Night Club — described as the biggest roundup of illegal immigrants in Ohio — detained 39 people, with five facing extra charges while they remained in Butler County Jail as investigations continued. Journal-News
