- ➤ St. Vincent de Paul will open a new 24,000-square-foot thrift store and donation center Friday morning on Pleasant Avenue in Lindenwald to offer affordable clothing, appliances, and furniture while creating local jobs—this site replaces a former flea market. Journal-News

- ➤ Matthew McDaniel, 42, died Tuesday at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after being shot on Aug. 16 on the 2800 block of Geraldine Drive—police said the shooting followed an argument and a person of interest is in custody. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ A 35-year-old Cincinnati man, Alex Montgomery, was arrested by Hamilton Police and the Butler County Undercover Regional Narcotics Task Force after officers allegedly recovered over one ounce of fentanyl and about $1,400 in cash, and a home search found an extra ounce of fentanyl and a Glock handgun—officials said the raid took dangerous drugs and weapons off the streets.
