  • Kings Island will shut down the popular ride Boo Blasters on Sept. 1—its final day—for future development and has not yet revealed what will replace it.  Local 12 News

CRIME NEWS

  • Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced Monday that Thomas Niehaus, 52, has been indicted on seven counts of aggravated arson and three counts of arson—charges linked to fires that burned nine flags in Northside and Clifton.  WCPO

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Hamilton City Schools welcomed back students Monday as Andrea Blevins began her term as superintendent after a year of training and hired a new executive director to help staff. Her district also launched a therapy dog program funded by donations to support students and staff.  WLWT
