- ➤ An injury crash with entrapment was reported Sunday evening on Highland Ridge Drive at the Center Hill Avenue intersection in Winton Hills — serious injuries were reported and Center Hill has been closed — with alternate routes advised. WLWT
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Hundreds of people attended a police vs. fire softball tournament held in honor of fallen Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputy Larry Henderson, who was hit by a car during the University of Cincinnati graduation in early May, and all proceeds went to his family as they plan to travel to Washington—D.C. next May while Rodney Hinton Jr. faces aggravated murder charges. - ➤ The Ohio Department of Agriculture issued a quarantine in Hamilton County to limit the spread of invasive spotted lanternflies found in 19 states. Residents are told to document any sightings and kill the insects—using methods like stepping on them or spraying a mix of Dawn dish soap and water. Local 12 News

- ➤ Attorneys, faith leaders, and detainees say ICE detainees at Butler County Jail are not receiving proper care after Senegalese immigrant Ibou Tine (who has been there since May 22 for missing an appointment) reported severe stomach pain and lack of treatment. Local commissioners and community members are questioning the jail's ICE contract as a tour of the facility is scheduled for August 13 to review its conditions. WVXU
