  • A local teacher Alicia Booker from Lakota West returned from a European Study Program with the Jewish Foundation for the Righteous and will use her firsthand Holocaust insights in her classroom. She traveled to the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark to study sites linked to the Holocaust.  Local 12 News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Commissioner Don Dixon criticized state property tax relief measures as a sham and said they mislead taxpayers, noting that $26 million in inside millage was already returned to property owners. Butler County officials will meet with state lawmakers next week to discuss the piggyback plan and how any revenue cuts might affect local taxing bodies like Hamilton.  Journal-News
