  • Three Lakota East high school students launched TechElevate to teach free coding classes to kids aged 7 to 14 and offer digital literacy lessons to seniors at local libraries and online. They use Carnegie Mellon University’s curriculum and a team of 50 to 60 volunteers (Python teachers and web developers) to build key tech skills and plan to seek grants for low-cost laptops.  Journal-News

  • Thousands of customers lost power Sunday evening as severe storms swept through the Cincinnati area, leaving over 1,000 without electricity in Miami Township in Hamilton County—Duke Energy advised residents to update emergency kits and follow generator safety guidelines. The outages prompted officials to urge careful preparation ahead of any additional severe weather.  WLWT
