- ➤ Authorities recalled mushrooms sold under several brands in Ohio after tests found they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, which can cause serious infections in young children, the elderly, and those with weak immune systems. Wiet Peeters Farm Products Limited pulled Aunt Mid's Fresh Sliced Mushrooms and Peeters Mushroom Farm Cremini Sliced from stores, and the FDA advises customers to throw them away or return them for a refund (no illnesses have been reported) (the recall was voluntary). - ➤ Hartford Bakery Inc has recalled six lots of its Lewis Bake Shop Artisan Style 1/2 Loaf due to undeclared hazelnuts affecting 883 loaves sold at stores like Kroger and Walmart in Ohio and other states.
