- ➤ Hamilton animal shelter euthanized kittens exposed to panleukopenia after a confirmed outbreak to stop the spread of the highly contagious virus. Michele DeCresce from Southwest Ohio Feline Advocates said the board must be more transparent and work with community resources to prevent similar mistakes in the future (staffing changes and strict protocols have been implemented). - ➤ Ayman Soliman, a local former Children’s Hospital chaplain and imam, was detained by ICE after his immigration court hearing on July 9 and is held at Butler County Jail. Congressman Greg Landsman said Soliman will remain in Ohio for the time being as his legal team works on his case. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ Rep. Greg Landsman said that ICE will let Cincinnati Children’s Hospital chaplain Ayman Soliman stay in Ohio as his immigration case goes on. Soliman was arrested after his asylum status was revoked last month — local leaders say he should be treated fairly as he faces a future court hearing. WLWT
