Good morning, Hamilton.

Simon Leis, the only person to serve as Hamilton County prosecutor, judge and sheriff, died Saturday at age 92.

His work built services like a dive team, aviation unit and bomb squad and improved drug treatment at the Justice Center.

Liberty Township’s Millikin Road interchange along I-75 now has nearly $86 million in funding and will begin construction in 2028.

The project will open 950 acres for advanced manufacturing, medical research, life sciences and tech companies — providing a new jobs and commerce hub for the region.

Liberty Township trustees extended zoning for Liberty Center’s $76.2 million second-phase expansion last month, paving the way for 264 luxury apartments and a (future hotel) near Ford’s Garage on a 4.7-acre site; work will begin next year.
