- ➤ Emergency and hazmat crews are containing a hydrochloric acid spill on Dixie Highway between Ross Road and Seward Road — authorities urge the public to use alternate routes until the highway reopens. Local 12 News

- ➤ Today at 9 a.m.—Wawa opened its second Ohio location in Fairfield with free t-shirts, free hot coffee available through Sunday, and a hoagie-building contest between the local police and fire departments. The store at 3501 Tylersville Road is part of the company’s plan to add eight to ten new locations this year and six to ten annually over the next several years. Journal-News

- ➤ Mark Rouse, a 35-year-old man from Batavia, was arrested at Hamilton County Courthouse on June 16 for allegedly intimidating a magistrate by leaving a deck of cards with a threatening message and sending voicemails with sounds of gunshots—he faced counts of menacing by stalking, retaliation, and intimidation, had his arraignment on Thursday morning, and will appear in court again on July 31 while held on a $100,000 bond. - ➤ Christian Henderson was found guilty on all counts—aggravated murder, murder, aggravated robbery and robbery—for the 2021 killing of a La Salle High School graduate in Hamilton County, with his sentencing set for July 31 while the case against 16-year-old Savannah Wilson remains pending. WLWT

- ➤ Hamilton County Commissioners are meeting today to discuss the Paycor Stadium lease+ they are reviewing its terms. Officials will decide if changes are needed+ the results will be shared with the community soon. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ Butler County sheriff’s deputies in Hamilton can now arrest people for immigration law violations after they finish a 40-hour training and get ICE badges under a renewed contract with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement—making them the first in the state to gain this power. Sheriff Richard Jones said 10 deputies have been credentialed and more are in training, and he expects more arrests and shorter jail stays compared to the past. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ The Ohio Senate and House passed a compromise state budget that introduces a flat tax of 2.75% for those earning over $26,000 and allows counties to lower property taxes when school districts carry over more than 40% of their budgets — the measure sets aside $600 million for a new Cleveland Browns stadium in the suburbs and now awaits Gov.
