- ➤ Legislation has been introduced in the Ohio statehouse that would impose the death penalty or life without parole on adult offenders convicted of killing a first responder, peace officer, prosecutor or military member. The bill—named for Hamilton County deputy Larry Henderson who was killed while directing traffic at University of Cincinnati graduation festivities—remains pending committee assignment and an official bill number.
