ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • A multi-vehicle crash occurred on Hamilton Cleves Road near Interstate 275 in Cleves, involving at least five vehicles and causing injuries—Hamilton County police and fire departments responded to the scene and advised caution in the area.  WLWT
  • A motorcycle crash occurred on South Gilmore Road near Pepper Ridge Drive in Fairfield Sunday at about 10:50 p.m.—serious injuries were reported though not confirmed—and crews headed to the scene while the road was closed.  WLWT

CRIME NEWS

  • Hamilton police said an officer overdosed on suspected fentanyl during a traffic stop and two individuals were taken into custody—officials are still investigating the incident.  FOX 19 Now

ECONOMY NEWS

  • A study by the University of Cincinnati Economics Center shows that the Banks mixed-use development adds $2.5B each year to the region and that the Bengals contribute $1B mostly through player salaries and local spending. Hamilton County commissioned the report and is using its findings to ask Ohio lawmakers for $350 million to help fund Paycor Stadium rehabilitation+ the proposal is under review.  Local 12 News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Butler Tech is building a $15M aviation school for high school students at Middletown Regional Airport to replace cramped classrooms and train more future pilots. The 30,000-square-foot center topped out recently and will open in February 2026 (students are projected to increase from 50 to about 200).  WCPO

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Residents in a Hamilton neighborhood are worried after inspectors found aluminum particles on cars, homes, and pools that they say came from the US-Alco plant in Fairfield—neighbors report the specks are affecting vision and breathing. City leaders will meet with residents tonight to review the findings and discuss efforts to address the pollution.  Local 12 News

  • Residents in Middletown oppose plans for 217 new homes on a vacant lot covered with trees and green space—citing worries over increased traffic and an unpaved road. The planning commission rejected the preliminary plan, and the proposal will now go to city council for a final decision—amid mixed local views.  Journal-News
