GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Liberty Township approved changes to its comprehensive plan that will bar new developments from including apartments or attached single-family homes. The move aims to lower density and ease service pressures in the area—existing proposals will continue under current rules.  Journal-News
  • Hamilton County commissioners today released their proposal for a new lease with the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium that offers about $270 million toward $830 million in renovations and calls for a 15-year lease with a possible five-year extension at $1 million in annual rent. The Bengals countered with a $700-plus million plan based on state and city funds—commissioners said the proposal also includes shared costs for operations and maintenance and community usage provisions.  WVXU
  • Hamilton County officials released documents showing the county’s and Bengals’ positions on renewing the Paycor Stadium lease — the papers reveal a wide gap over funding and maintenance upgrades.
