- ➤ Roughly 200 people gathered outside Butler County Jail in Hamilton on Sunday to protest ICE detentions made earlier this month in Cincinnati—demonstrators marched through several blocks and a confrontation with police led to one arrest. WVXU
- ➤ A proposed constitutional amendment to end property taxes is pushing a signature drive to 600,000 valid signatures by July 1 so that if the measure passes, Butler County schools and other local governments will lose $658.2 million in future funding—officials warn that new reliance on income and sales taxes could force steep increases and lasting budget changes.
