- ➤ Kohl's confirmed that its Monroe e-commerce center in Greater Cincinnati will shut down permanently by the end of October—more than 700 workers have been told their last day is September 12. The company did not give a reason for the closure. Local 12 News

- ➤ Timothy Shoulders shot his boyfriend Terrell Howell in the face when Howell came to pick up his belongings from the Lincoln Heights home, and Howell later died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center after deputies arrived at 8:30 a.m. Thursday—Shoulders now faces charges for murder and felonious assault. - ➤ Twelve jurors will be chosen from a pool of 75 for a four-day murder trial beginning Tuesday at Butler County Common Pleas Court in Hamilton as 63-year-old Riano—known as El Diablo—faces charges over the 2004 shooting death of Benjamin Becarra and has been held without bond since his extradition from Mexico.
