ECONOMY NEWS

  • Duke Energy has proposed a 38% increase to electric distribution charges to fund grid improvements & reliability, a change that if approved by the Public Utilities Commission may cost some customers an extra $18 per month starting in spring 2027. Public hearings will begin in fall.  WLWT

  • Hamilton County Veterans' Treatment Court meets every Thursday as Judge Brad Greenberg leads a program that helps veterans address legal issues through tailored treatment plans (designed by VA professionals) and accountability instead of traditional prosecution, lowering re-offense rates.  WCPO
