  • A Cincinnati nonprofit will build Hamilton County’s first tiny home village for homeless veterans on donated land in Madisonville. The project includes 14 rental homes, gardens and a dog park and needs $750,000 by June 30 to unlock a $1 million county grant, officials said.  Local 12 News

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Heavy rainfall produced minor flooding and road closures in Hamilton and nearby areas as Miami Conservancy District activated four flood protection dams yesterday, and rain showers with storms are expected this afternoon; local crews continue monitoring conditions (drivers should avoid flooded areas).  Journal-News

HEALTH NEWS

  • Ghirardelli recalled its Perfectly Premium Frappe Mix Frozen Hot Cocoa 50 ounce product sold in Ohio due to possible salmonella contamination. The recall covers over 18,000 units with best by dates from May 31 to Sept 30 (customers should discard or return them for a refund).  Local 12 News
