- ➤ Glen Rogers, a 62-year-old convicted murderer originally from Hamilton, was scheduled for execution on Thursday at 6 p.m. by lethal injection in Florida after Governor Ron DeSantis signed his death warrant last month, though a pending appeal could delay the process. Local 12 News

- ➤ Ohio's Senate passed SB 158 on Wednesday by a 30 to 2 vote, which bans cellphones from public school classrooms with few exceptions for emergencies and educational use—aiming to reduce distractions and boost engagement.
