Good morning, Hamilton.

Former Greenhills police officer Gregory Guilfoyle was sentenced to 100 years in prison on Monday for shooting his pregnant wife and a deputy during December 2022 in southeastern Indiana—actions that left his victims and their families facing new beginnings after a long wait for justice.

Rodney Hinton Jr., accused of killing Deputy Larry Henderson in a revenge attack after his son was shot, filed a $25 million federal lawsuit on May 9 claiming his civil rights were violated and naming Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey, the county jail, the Cincinnati Police Department and the state (with 10 unnamed officers) as defendants while he faces charges that could lead to the death penalty.
