  • Carson’s Northridge Pharmacy will close next week as owner Joti Carson said low insurance reimbursements and losses on many prescriptions have made the business unsustainable—leaving Harding Road Pharmacy as the sole independent option in the area and prompting Carson to focus on time with her family and future plans.  Springfield News-Sun

CRIME NEWS

  • Rodney Hinton Jr. was arraigned on an aggravated murder charge after he fatally struck a Hamilton County deputy directing traffic near the University of Cincinnati on May 2 — a bond hearing is scheduled for May 6 at 8:30 a.m. while he is held in Clermont County's jail.  The Enquirer

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Officials have approved two Butler County projects as part of Ohio's $835 million investment that will create over 100 new jobs and add more than $62 million in annual payroll across the state. LetsGetChecked in Fairfield will add 74 full-time positions while SkyCell North America in West Chester Township will add 30 new jobs, approved by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA).  Local 12 News
