- ➤ An Uber driver in Ohio was arrested after a passenger called 911 on April 27 to report he mentioned having a false-bottom aerosol can with meth in his work car while wearing a shirt that said "retired drug dealer" — officers later found 24 grams of meth, unidentified pills, a meth pipe, a digital scale, packaging baggies, cash, and three cell phones during the traffic stop. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Darana Hybrid has helped more than 60 Hamilton High School students become job-ready through its NCCER-accredited pre-apprenticeship program in construction and manufacturing. The program also lets students earn college credits — giving them a head start for future work. Journal-News
- ➤ Princeton City Schools is asking voters Tuesday to pass a $6.6 million emergency levy designed to raise about $12.8 million a year to support education programs and avoid further staffing and transportation cuts— the district last passed an operating levy in 2019 and will begin collecting funds next year if approved. - ➤ Sarah Daniels, a longtime art teacher at Badin who helped make the art program a destination for young artists, is retiring after many years of service. Her first novel 'The Chairs' will be featured at a book signing (11 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 10) at Sara’s House in downtown Hamilton. Journal-News
