- ➤ A Flood Watch is in effect for the area as severe storms are expected to roll in late tonight, bringing risks of hail, strong winds, tornadoes and heavy rain. Rain totals are forecast to reach between 5 and 8 inches through Sunday (levels not seen since 1964) that may lead to flooding concerns. WLWT
- ➤ Residents and trail cameras are capturing images of otters, beavers, bobcats, and eagles across 22 parks in Great Parks of Hamilton County over 18,000 acres as spring brings a wildlife revival—conservation efforts over decades have helped these species make a comeback and the public is encouraged to report sightings. - ➤ Today, Butler County Veterans Treatment Court graduated its first two female veterans who completed an 18-month program that requires securing a job, housing and mental health services—Judge Michael Oster said he plans to expand the program to help more veterans avoid relapse. WLWT
- ➤ Butler County approved new union contracts with three sheriff’s unions and the Child Support Enforcement group that will raise payrolls by $2.3M to help with employee retention. The deals include a 5% pay bump for corrections officers and medics along with wage increases for other staff, county leaders said—agreements reached after about four meetings—. Journal-News
