- ➤ Sen. Al Cutrona introduced a bill on March 28 that would require schools in Ohio to teach a 'Success Sequence'—graduating high school, getting a job, getting married and having kids—in grades 6 to 12. The bill directs the Department of Education and Workforce to develop standards and a model curriculum using research and local input and is now with the Senate Education Committee. WVXU
- ➤ High school students at Butler Tech’s Fairfield Twp campus are building a two-person propeller airplane as part of their aviation studies, a project that spans two to three school years. They will join an adult pilot for a test flight when complete—an opportunity that comes as the school prepares to open a new aviation hangar for training at Middletown Regional Airport next February. - ➤ Butler County sheriff said he will send 14 staffers to ICE training so deputies can process ICE charges while using the county jail to hold up to 400 illegal immigrants. - ➤ The City of Hamilton announced that work on the $5.1 million Millville Avenue Construction Project will begin Monday — lane restrictions will be in place on Ohio 129 between Wrenwood Drive and Smalley Boulevard from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily until April 11, while the road remains open. The project focuses on concrete repairs, water main upgrades, and tree removals for new sidewalks and curbs. Journal-News
