- ➤ Hamilton is set for new public art as the StreetSpark program plans murals at the Meyer Brothers and Sons building on Maple Avenue and Pfefferle Tire and Auto on Main Street, plus new designs for utility boxes on High and Second Streets. A program manager will present the designs to City Council tonight (approval pending). Local 12 News

- ➤ Butler Tech police academy awarded four cadets a $822 memorial fund honoring a deputy killed in 2011. The program—started in 2012—recognizes future officers for exceptional character and has dispersed over $83,000 in awards, inspiring service in local law enforcement. Journal-News

- ➤ A fireball 40 times brighter than Venus lit the sky Monday night with 111 reports across states including here. NASA said the meteor, first seen over Hope, Michigan, disintegrated above Saginaw Bay (a rare occurrence) while searches for meteorite pieces continue in northeast Ohio. WLWT

- ➤ Hamilton County's Addiction Response Coalition said overdose deaths dropped to 194 cases in 2025 (a 30% decrease from 277 in 2024), marking the lowest rate in more than a decade. Commissioner Denise Driehaus said local agencies will continue funding proven strategies amid rising non-opioid cases. WVXU
