- ➤ Yesterday, Hamilton local mom Tanya Kennedy Gill held her 10th annual toy drive in honor of her late son, Christian, raising $13K and about 800 toys that were delivered to Cincinnati Children's Hospital & the Dragonfly Foundation. Local 12 News
- ➤ A Tri-State mom is donating toys to children at Children's Hospital in Hamilton today, bringing smiles and support to local kids. Her contribution strengthens community care & uplifts families during hospital visits. FOX 19 Now
- ➤ Residents are invited to join the Hamilton Neighborhoods Summit on March 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Hamilton High, where local leaders and community participants from all 17 neighborhoods will lead sessions and award announcements (including the 17STRONG Awards). - ➤ Hamilton has launched a bridal district that brings together 26 local businesses to help couples plan their weddings. Organized just in time for wedding season, the district unites photographers, caterers, venues and more to streamline the planning process. Local 12 News
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Three veteran Ross school leaders will retire this summer break, ending a 100-year legacy in the district as Ross realigns grades, eliminates one administrative position, and seeks new leadership at Morgan Elementary and Ross Middle School. Journal-News
- ➤ Edgewood Primary School is closed today and tomorrow after a burst water main flooded part of its building (about 191,000 gallons). Classes resume Thursday as ServPro begins cleanup and air quality is monitored to keep the environment safe for students and staff. WLWT
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Hamilton County’s Great Parks and Cincinnati Parks are launching a commercial biochar facility and composting site at Winton Woods Farm that will use manure and wood debris to improve soil quality and reduce carbon emissions. Construction began Feb. 12 and the biochar facility will break ground later this year. FOX 19 Now
