Good morning, Hamilton.

An Air Force veteran used his Toyota Tacoma to pull a 20000 pound ambulance stuck in heavy snow Sunday night in Springfield Township, allowing first responders to transport his neighbor to the hospital.

Today, record snowfall forced crews to work on clearing city streets as snow and ice slowed travel.

City officials advise drivers to use caution when navigating hazardous conditions.

A snow plow driver cleared miles of snow-covered roads this morning—helping an ambulance carry an infant—to allow safe hospital transit.

City officials say the quick action may have been key to ensuring the infant received timely care.

Jason Thompson, a local mail carrier with 20+ years experience, was suspended without pay after voicing safety concerns on Facebook about snow-impacted delivery conditions at the Fairfield USPS facility Monday morning; he said he plans to return to work today.

As record snowfall and cold temperatures persist today, local officials urge residents to use proper shoveling techniques (wearing warm clothes and taking breaks) to prevent injuries.

Those clearing driveways and sidewalks in the region are advised to follow these guidelines.
