  • The Butler County Historical Society will host a presentation titled Peck's Addition: Rediscovering Hamilton’s Forgotten Appalachian Neighborhood at 10 a.m. + 1 p.m. on Jan. 24 at 327 N. ECONOMY NEWS

  • Federal data shows the Greater Cincinnati region lost thousands of jobs in the latter half of 2025, returning to employment levels seen in late 2024. Significant declines in leisure and hospitality cuts were partly offset by gains in public service jobs.  WLWT

  • Hamilton City Schools Superintendent Andrea Blevins introduced a budget plan that calls for staff cuts (12% in administration, 10% in teaching, and 21% in clerical roles) and operational changes including closing Fairwood Elementary and the stand-alone Hamilton High School Freshman Campus, with revised preschool and nursing services set to begin next school year.  Journal-News
