High school students now learn in a repurposed corporate HQ (AM Hub) in Hamilton that opened this month as part of a $31 million partnership between Butler Tech and Miami University, offering a three-year engineering program that started with 47 students and will grow to about 100 next school year.

Butler Tech educator and chef Lee Corder raised over $100K to fund a culinary scholarship awarding $5,000 each year for Butler County high school seniors to pursue culinary careers (he created it after a stage 4 cancer diagnosis to remove financial barriers); the Hamilton Community Foundation manages donations.

Residents in Lindenwald raised concerns after persistent white specks appeared from emissions at the USALCO chemical plant near Fairfield; Hamilton City Council continued testing with the Ohio EPA & began soil sampling to assess potential air quality issues.
