Good morning, Hamilton.

Today, Lakota West High School received Downy, a two-year-old facility dog donated by the Joshua Al-Lateef Jr. Foundation in honor of Joshua Al-Lateef Jr.—a six-year-old boy with autism whose loss led to new support programs for children with special needs.

BidFTA will close its Broadwell Road facility, a Greater Cincinnati location, on March 6 to improve its distribution network; the decision will result in 104 permanent job losses (primarily for warehouse associates), as detailed in a letter sent to local officials.

Lakota Schools Superintendent Ashley Whitely met with community members at MidPointe Library in West Chester Township to gather input for a revised facilities plan after voters rejected a proposal with four new schools and nine closures in November.

The board will use feedback to address smaller classes (a key concern).

ODOT now shows its plows on Waze, where a truck icon marks when plows clear roads at speeds under 35 mph.

The integration ties the agency’s GPS AVL system + Waze to help drivers keep safe distances during winter weather.

ODOT announced that its snow plow trucks will now show on Waze when their strobe lights are on—helping drivers spot active plowing during winter road work; Cincinnati has also launched a real-time snow plow tracker for its 12-hour shifts.
