- ➤ Two new education centers will open in January to help meet local workforce needs. Butler Tech will start an Aviation Center at the Middletown Regional Airport in late January, & Miami University will join Butler Tech to open an Advanced Manufacturing Hub at Vora Technology Park on Jan. 6. WVXU
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Reentry and Supports Subcommittee, celebrating its first anniversary, has nearly doubled from 24 to 45 members and distributed over 5,000 resource cards across Butler County. It holds meetings on the fourth Wednesday each month (to improve reentry support) and collaborates with Miami University to fill service gaps. Journal-News
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Students at Reading High School rallied to support Nick Radtke, a basketball player diagnosed with brain cancer in summer 2025, by hosting Night for Nick Saturday with exhibition games that raised funds for his treatment.
