  • Butler County will celebrate America250, the nation’s 250th anniversary, with a year of events such as a Born in the USA performance at the Fitton Center on Jan. 24 and a Time Travel Trail at 40 historic sites starting Jan. 1 — more details will be shared early this year.  Journal-News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Central Midwest Carpenters Union is operating a state-of-the-art training center in Monroe that offers year-round, hands-on and classroom carpentry training for people of all ages. Apprentices earn certifications and college credit at the facility (65,000 sqft) serving workers from 21 counties.  WCPO

HEALTH NEWS

  • Hamilton residents can benefit from local doctor Dr. Fadi Tayim and fitness coaches who advise setting realistic New Year’s resolutions by planning actionable steps for health and finances.   • TriHealth reached an agreement with UnitedHealthcare to continue care for patients after its contract ended Dec. 31 (following over a year of negotiations). This deal prevents patients from needing to switch providers.  FOX 19 Now
  • TriHealth announced a new agreement with UnitedHealthcare that will keep its hospitals, outpatient centers and physicians in network for employer-sponsored, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid plans. The deal will ensure uninterrupted care for nearly 80,000 patients (in Greater Cincinnati) and strengthen their partnership.  Local 12 News
