About this event

Step inside the world of Watermelon Dreams, an intimate evening of poetry, music, storytelling, with spoken word artist Zeda Stew.

Watermelon Dreams is an intimate listening party celebrating the forthcoming spoken word album by Zeda Stew. Rooted in poetry, storytelling, music, and the Black American experience, the evening invites guests into a living, breathing version of the album before its official release.

The experience will begin with a relaxed mixer featuring music, a signature watermelon cocktail, and light finger foods, giving guests an opportunity to connect and settle into the atmosphere. The evening will then transition into a live spoken word performance featuring selections from Watermelon Dreams, accompanied by an opening poetry performance.

More than a traditional listening party, Watermelon Dreams is a literary arts experience exploring resilience, survival, faith, identity, community, and the pursuit of something sweeter beyond hardship. Guests will also have access to exclusive merchandise and an opportunity to experience the world of Watermelon Dreams in an intimate setting before the album is released publicly.
